FDIC Proposed Rule on Climate Related Risk for Banks

Treasurer Ellsworth signed a letter with 15 other state Financial Officers opposing the idea that climate-related financial risk is the single gravest threat to the U.S. banking system and that it needs special treatment.

Crapo, Risch Oppose SEC Overreach, Unworkable Disclosure Regulations on Agriculture Products

U.S. Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch (both R-Idaho) joined Senator John Hoeven (R-N.D.) and 29 of their colleagues to push back on a proposed rule from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that would place unworkable climate disclosure regulations on farmers, ranchers, and agriculture producers.
