Boise, Idaho — On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Idaho will come together on the steps of the State Capitol to honor Patriot Day and kickoff the America250 in Idaho celebration, leading up to our nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
The official program begins at 11:00 a.m. and will include music by the Idaho Military Division’s 25th Army Band, an invocation from Idaho State Senate Chaplain Doug Armstrong, a flag procession by the Kuna High School ROTC Color Guard, and the singing of the National Anthem.
Following the ceremony, the celebration continues with free, family-friendly activities from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy displays, historical figures, and Idaho’s own “Revolutionary Spuds”.
“This event is both a solemn remembrance of September 11, 2001, and a joyful kickoff to America250 in Idaho,” said State Treasurer Julie Ellsworth.
The event is free and open to the public.
